- UNLESS SAFETY DICTATES OTHERWISE, AIRCRAFT MUST REMAIN SOUTH OF RAILROAD TRACKS AT ALL TIMES. test
- All operations are to be conducted in VFR weather conditions.
- NO straight-in approaches. Use 45° entry to pattern.
- OPTION TO LAND - You must use NORMAL or OPTIONAL TRAFFIC PATTERN. No teardrop turns or downwind passes. No low flying over residential area.
- No takeoffs or landings on taxiways.
- Helicopters must be transported to and from the Airport property. No hover taxiing over paved taxiways.
- NORMAL TRAFFIC PATTERN - 1100 ft MSL (Downwind leg over Highway 35) Note: Lower aircraft has the right of way.
OPTIONAL SLOW AIRCRAFT TRAFFIC PATTERN - 600 FT MSL (Downwind leg over first tree line west of Runway 18-36) - Runway 18: Right hand traffic, stay south of railroad on base leg unless safety dictates otherwise. To avoid confusion in no-wind or light-wind conditions of 5 MPH or less, Runway 18 is the preferred runway for both departures and arrivals. Intersection takeoffs are at pilot's discretion.
- Runway 36: Left hand traffic. Unless safety dictates otherwise, after takeoff and afer reaching a safe altitude, turn left before crossing railroad tracks. In the interest of safety and to avoid flight north of the railroad tracks, departing aircraft should use the full length of the runway.
- LEEWARD AIR RANCH AIRPORT, INC. (Airport) DOES NOT HOLD THE WAIVER FOR THE AEROBATIC BOX AND DOES NOT HAVE ANY CONTROL OF OR LIABILITY FOR THE USE OF THE BOX.
- Park near Red Barn. Follow Leeward Air Ranch Property Owners' Association, Inc. Rules and Regulations when taxiing in subdivision.
- Ultralight aircraft are prohibited.
- Residents may not use the airport or runway for commercial activity or for self-enterprise (examples: student pilot training, crop dusting, aircraft sales, aircraft charter, paid aircraft rides (whether or not in the form of reimbursement for expenses, donations, etc.) etc.. Suggest Dunnellon airport 8 minutes to the west. Naturally, "Touch and Go's" by resident's for practice, proficiency and airport familiarization are not considered student pilot training.
- The Airport is private. Use of the runway is restricted to qualified Leeward Air Ranch property owners and others allowed by the Airport, at the Airport's sole discretion. The Airport extends homeowners the privilege of inviting a guest to use the Airport to visit them as long as 1) the property owner is there when the guest is visiting 2) the guest is a temporary, short term guest, 3) the visits are only occasional and of a non-commercial nature, and 4) The guest is not flying on a student pilot certificate. Flight instruction, familiarization flights, flight reviews, solo flights, initiating or terminating the following 1) instruction flights, 2) training flights, and 3) cross-county flights, by non-residents are prohibited. Multiple takeoffs and landings (including touch and go's and stop and go's) by non-residents are also prohibited. All guests must follow all rules, regulations and traffic patterns. Violations by guests are subject to Airport revoking guests' future use of the Airport.
- Hangar or tie-down space may only be used by, loaned or leased to other Leeward Air Ranch Homeowners: Exception- a short-term temporary guest may hangar or tie down his aircraft while visiting. No business, commercial enterprise shall be allowed or conducted on or from a Lot in Leeward Air Ranch Subdivision. Long-term aircraft restoration shall not be considered a commercial activity. Owner of aircraft being restored may not fly the aircraft except to arrive before restoration begins and depart after restoration is concluded. Owner of aircraft under restoration and may visit no more than once a month.
